Hi there!

I am a Portland licensed massage therapist, registered yoga teacher,  Reiki healer and travel enthusiast.

Clients and friends often ask me why I chose to become a massage therapist.  To be honest, as I was finishing up high school...  The idea of going away to a university terrified me!  I opted for massage therapy school instead, and I loved it.  The instant pain relief that massage provides is miraculous, and I'm so grateful to have a job that brings so much peace and healing into my clients' lives.   Since receiving my Oregon license in 2010, I've been trained extensively in Ayurvedic spa modalities, deep tissue massage, hot stone therapy, Thai massage, myofascial release, and energy work.  Recently I am incorporating some grastoning and Ashiatsu into my bodywork sessions.  Every session is different based on clients' needs and I work very intuitively.

Yoga plays a huge part in keeping my own body strong and healthy enough to give powerful massage work.  I began practicing consistently in 2013.  Eventually I started to feel the need to share the benefits of yoga and my knowledge with friends and clients, and this is when I knew I was ready to start my teaching journey.  I decided to go overseas for a 200 hundred hour intensive immersion program in Thailand. This allowed me to focus completely on yoga and being in the moment, instead of juggling my work & home life while in school.  I am most passionate about sharing fun, challenging vinyasa sequences, but have received the  most benefit from meditative and restorative aspects of yoga.  I'm thrilled for the opportunities to teach both types of classes!  I completed my YTT in January of 2016.

Travel is a huge part of my life and I want to see the whole world!  I love Portland, but experiencing new places and cultures truly enriches my soul.  My biggest trips have been to Japan & Thailand, and I have been all over the USA.  I am planning to do a backpacking trip around the west coast of Canada during the summer of 2017, and a big Asia trip within the next few years.  I intend to blog and share a lot of pictures!  All worldy recommendations and travel tips from friends, clients and strangers are welcome.

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my website and read about me.  I look forward to working with you!
